After breast surgery, it is essential to find products that will allow you to feel like yourself again. At The Women's Image Center we offer a variety of post-mastectomy products ranging from off-the shelf silicone forms to the latest custom breast prosthetic technology. We find that it is important for a woman to have a variety of options that will allow her to move forward with confidence. Whether you have undergone a mastectomy, lumpectomy or breast reconstruction our certified fitters can assist you in finding product best suited for you!
We understand how overwhelming the physical changes can be. Our dedicated and caring staff will give our clients every opportunity to have their concerns and questions answered.
Our Founder, Mary Walsh-Aframe
Starting off as a former dental hygienist, Mary was empowered to help other women and opened her first boutique over 25 years ago. She believes that the power of "why" is a motivating factor of how she runs her business.

Here are some frequently asked questions and answers to prepare you for your bra and breast prosthesis visit.
What can I expect for my bra and prosthesis appointment?
During your appointment you will meet with a Certified Mastectomy Fitter who will measure you for bras and breast prosthesis, if you need one. Your fitter will work with you to find a bra/prosthesis that best matches any preference you have.
What should I bring? Should I wear something particular?
Please bring a photo ID, your insurance cards and a prescription if you have one from your physician or oncologist. We recommend to wear something comfortable and easily removable on the top for your bra and prosthesis fitting.
Does my insurance cover my product?
If you have had a breast cancer diagnosis you have a benefit through your insurance. However, depending upon your type of insurance you may have a deductible or co-insurance that applies. When you schedule your appointment we can check your insurance prior to your appointment or provide you with the codes to check yourself.
Why do I need a prescription?
We need a prescription for everything we dispense because insurance requires us to prove medical necessity. Our office requires a new prescription every calendar year.
Breast Prosthesis are available in a variety of sizes, shapes and material to match the chest wall/remaining tissue.
Post-Mastectomy bras have a built-in pocket on both sides for the insert/removal of a breast prosthesis.
The Custom Breast Prosthesis is the highest quality breast prosthesis available to a woman post-mastectomy, lumpectomy or failed reconstruction.
