The event began in October 2004, recognizing national Breast Cancer Month with the external illumination of the hospital and research buildings on the University campus of UMassMemorial Health Care and Medical School. It has since evolved into the signature breast cancer event for Central Massachusetts and the PINK Revolution, Breast Cancer Alliance. It’s an emotion-filled evening marked by the lighting of hundreds of votive candles in honor and memory of the lives of Breast Cancer Patients and now Gynecologic Cancer Patients. The program includes information on the latest advances in research and treatment, and survivors that have made the journey and now want to give inspiration and hope. The evening is a “trifecta” from detection to treatment to living stronger.
Registration, light refreshments and candle lighting start at 5:45 pm, The program will start at 7:00 pm and be followed by a dessert reception.
